How to Use
Enter vessel and impeller geometry, RPM, and fluid properties for each case you want to compare. The tool computes Reynolds number, tip speed, power number-based draw, P/V, and torque, laid out as a comparison table so you can judge whether a lab or pilot condition is being scaled consistently to plant scale.
Engineering Notes & Assumptions
Constant P/V, constant tip speed and constant Reynolds number are different (and mutually exclusive) scale-up rules. Which one fits depends on whether your process is shear-sensitive, mass-transfer-limited, or blend-time-limited. This tool reports the numbers; picking the right scale-up criterion for your chemistry is still an engineering judgment call.
